Some of Ted's stone sculptures have succumbed to Mother Nature's challenges. Not so The Surfer, still standing tall at the head of the driveway despite Hurricane Irene, countless wind storms, attacks from falling branches, and the vibrations of an army of tree-trimming trucks.

Oh wow ! I like it ! People build several of those rock sculptures on our local beaches, then the surf washes them away. That would be Mission Beach, Pacific Beach, Ocean Beach, and Imperial Beach (near the Mexican border), and then all up and down the southern california coast.
